HEAT VS DAL
So the Heat managed to pull off a VERY close win over the Wizards....and the streak is still alive! They face another test tomorrow against the Mavericks. The Mavericks are 9-1 for the last 10 games, and we all know how well the Heat are doing right?
My money is on the Heat on the MONEY LINE. Miami are the favourites on the point spread with -6.5. The Heat are playing at home where they dominate. I say keep the streak going!

HEAT VS NYC
So the Heat are still on a streak!! Surprised? You shouldn't be! So far we're still perfect with our picks so lets continue to make some money! Speaking of a time that HAD a streak, the Knicks. What a game with Boston! They've proved that they can hang tight with the big boys of the East. They hold strong when playing in the garden and that's where the Heat will be tomorrow.
The Heat are favourites to win with -4 on the point spread. This will definitely be a close game so I don't recommend taking the point spread on this one. Bet on the HEAT on the MONEY LINE. This will be one of the Heat's biggest tests this year, but this shouldn't stop their streak!

HEAT VS NOH
Hopefully you've been following my advice and cashing in on my picks! We just had that easy win with Orlando today! So far we've gone 3 for 3 since we started this blog so lets earn you some more money!
Tomorrow is a big game with the Heat hosting the underperforming Hornets, who after a blazing start are not playing anywhere close to the potential they showed early on. Miami are the favorites to win with the spread at -11. The Hornets have gone 3-7 for their last 10 games and the Heat have gone 9-1. The Heat are currently 10-3 at home and I don't see their streak ending with the Hornets. Look for a big home performance! Bet on the POINT SPREAD for the Heat!

ORLANDO VS LAC
So the Heat won last night! No surprise though. Sorry for the lack of update. I actually cashed in on that game when betting on the point spread. Easy win!
Another easy win is on the cards tonight when the Magic visit the struggling Clippers. The Magic have last the last 2 of their road games and statistically this should be an easy win for them today against Baron Davis and his team. Bet big on the MONEY LINE for the Magic in this one!

HEAT VS GSW
Looks like my Celtics prediction was right! I was going to say bet on the 76ers on the spread, but hey, money is money whatever way you look at it. Even if it did take Garnett to work his magic!

This matchup with the Heat against the Warriors should be an easy win for the Heat! The Heat are on a roll and it seems likely that they're going to jump onto the 10+ game winning streaks like so many other championship contending teams this season. GSW has lost it's last 4 games and I just don't see the Heat slowing down any time soon. Put your money on the point spread for the Heat which is -9.

Miami's Big Three: A Second Coming?
Are these guys?
Reminds you of these guys?
Chicago's Legendary Big Three: Dennis Rodman, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen |
Position wise Lebron James fills the shoes of Scottie Pippen and Dwayne Wade fills Michael Jordan's shoes. A friend of mine pointed out the differences of Dennis Rodman (defense-oriented) and Chris Bosh (offense-oriented).
Well the Bulls trio produced three championships in a row (1996-1998). The question now is... Will Miami's Big Three do the same?

An Introduction
Welcome to the Heat Spot!
My name is Donmar and the co-author of this blog. I am also the author of The Unknown Gazette (formerly, Donmakles - Lanaoan sa Aoetaroa) which covers history, politics, sports, personal experiences, and other topics of interest. The Heat Spot, on the other hand, covers the Miami Heat. In other words, its a Miami Heat fan blog!
I have been a fan of the Miami Heat franchise ever since that 7-foot giant (Shaquille O’Neal) from Los Angeles Lakers moved to the South Beach in 2004 and brought Miami to NBA championship (2006). Anyway, I support other NBA teams as well. Aside from the Miami Heat, I am also a fan of the Phoenix Suns and the Boston Celtics. When I was a kid growing up in the Philippines, I supported the Chicago Bulls, the time of the great Michael Jordan until I moved here in New Zealand.
Here in the Heat Spot, I will focus on the team’s statistics, team and individual records, as well as other trivias. My co-author (Scot) and I will also cover the history, news, player’s profiles, legend’s profiles, college prospects, and whatever we could think of.
-----------------------------------------
My name is Scot and I'm a Miami Heat fan. I've been playing basketball since high school and one of my fondest memories was watching the 2006 Miami Heat in the playoffs. It featured my two favourite guards, Dwayne Wade and Jason Williams. The team was perfect mix of new and old. I truly believe that the new revamped Heat has what it takes to make it back to the Finals this season.
My specialty for this blog will be pre-game analysis. I'm a betting man so analysing games is extremely important to me if I actually want to win money! In this blog I will post my predictions for almost all upcoming Miami Heat games and give advice on how to place your bets. I'll also throw in a few non-Heat predictions on slow days when the Heat aren't playing!
If you are new to sports betting then stay tuned to my recommended list of sports books!

Celtics vs 76ers
Alright so the Heat aren't playing tomorrow, but that doesn't mean there isn't money to be made! Boston, the powerhouse team of the East are taking on the struggling 76ers. Both teams are coming off impressive wins against the Nuggets and the Cavaliers. The Celtics have won their last 5 games and the 76ers have won their last 4 out of 5. All 4 wins of the 76ers last 5 games have come from playing at home. Needless to say they're strong at home, but the Celtics have a strong away record and I'm going to have to back them for the win today. It's definitely going to be a high scoring game and it won't be a blowout. Back the Celtics on the MONEY LINE today!
